A Convicted Thief and Failed Asylum Seeker From Guinea, with a deportation order, jailed for Jumping on Bonnet of Patrol Car in Limerick City

A GUINEAN national was sentenced to one months’ imprisonment for his role in a bizarre incident during which a garda car was damaged. Ousmane Baah, aged 29, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to a criminal damage charge relating to an incident which happened at O’Connell Street on December 31, 2017. Inspector Dermot O’Connor told Limerick District Court, Mr Baah, had ‘jumped’ onto the bonnet of an unmarked patrol car while it was stopped at traffic lights. The bonnet, he said, was dented and around €250 worth of damage caused to the vehicle. The defendant, who received a three month prison earlier this month for a theft offence in Dublin, also admitted stealing a bottle of Huge Boss perfume, worth €79, from Debenhams, O’Connell Street on February 16, last. A shocking one-in-three United Nations employees report they have been sexually harassed at work over the past two years, according to a first-of-its-kind survey – and the figure is even higher for whole-career harassment. While the most common types of "harassment" reported were "sexual stories or jokes that were offensive" and "offensive remarks about appearance, body or sexual activities," more serious transgressions were also common, including offensive gestures and touching, as well as unwelcome attempts at conversation about sexual matters. Two-thirds of the harassers were male. Only a third of the victims said they "took action" following the harassment. The survey was conducted by management consultancy Deloitte in the form of a confidential online questionnaire. Fatal Knife Attacks Highest Ever Recorded In England – Two Thirds Of Victims Are White, But Deathly Silence on Ethnicity of Killers!

Knife homicides in England and Wales hit a record high during the 12 months up to March 2018, with the deaths “destroying lives and shattering communities.” 285 killings were committed, the biggest number since records began. The report, released by the Office of National Statistics (ONS), shows that homicides caused by a knife or sharp instrument, increased by a whopping 73 on the same period for 2016-2017.
