A group spanning government departments has been launched to clamp down on the propagation of fascism and other totalitarian regimes, government spokesperson Joanna Kopcińska has said. The group will also tackle hate crimes related to ethnicity, nationality, race and religion. It will include officials from the interior, justice, foreign and culture ministries, alongside the police, border guards, the Internal Security Agency and the national prosecutor’s office.

In an interview with magazine “Alles Roger?”, Austrian pop singer Christian Anders attacked Angela Merkel and said she “needs to be locked up in a psychiatric hospital”. Anders said countries “should take some asylum seekers” but “what Merkel has done should be forbidden”. “If you invite 20 people to your apartment and 2,000 are at the door it will not end well. Refugees who were rejected as non-refugees in Scandinavia come to Germany”, he said.

Leader of Italy’s Lega Party, Matteo Salvini, said he wants to deport half a million migrants within five years. Italy accepted hundreds of thousands of migrants in the last three years and is facing a backlash after several migrant crimes rocked the country. Earlier this month an Italian girl was murdered and dismembered by a Nigerian asylum seeker. Afterwards a man shot several African migrants in a racist attack and Italians started protesting.

Dutch detectives are struggling under a massive workload and as a result can only get to a fraction of their tasks, police union NPB says in a new report that will be sent to the House of Representatives on Tuesday. The Netherlands is turning into a “narco state” where drug trafficking thrives and most criminal groups are left undisturbed, the union warns in the report that NOS has in its position. “In the last 25 years I have seen small dealers grow into large entrepreneurs with good contacts in politics and into so-called respected investors”, the report titled ‘Noodkreet recherche!’ quotes one detective.

In his state of the nation speech Sunday, Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that “Christianity is Europe’s last hope”. Orban said he will continue to oppose the EU and the UN’s worldwide migration plans as “Islam will soon knock on the doors of Central Europe”. “According to estimates, the proportion of immigrants will grow at an accelerated pace in the European countries west of us,” Orban said.
