Welcome to this video, which will teach you how to pronounce irregular verbs in the Irish language in the three main tenses: past, present, and future.

***Note; I haven’t included the separated form (an fhoirm scartha) of the verb used in Ulster and Connaught for the ‘we’ form; this is the same as the ‘sibh/siad’ form e.g. I have ‘Bhíomar’ but ‘Bhí muid’ is also correct. ***

NOTES ON DIALECT;
As mentioned in this video, there are 3 main dialects, and every verb in each tense will be pronounced slightly differently in each dialect. You can use the following website to check in a dialect of your choice; https://www.abair.tcd.ie/ga

The main difference you’ll find is in the future of each verb, where in Munster, you hear an ‘ig’ sound at the end, and in Connaught and Ulster, you don’t; there’s more of a ‘he’ sound at the end in the future.

You don’t pronounce the ‘f’ in the future tense ending in any dialect.
