Three men have been found guilty of grooming and abusing an Oxford schoolgirl between 2002 and 2005. Anjum Dogar, 36, Mohammed Karrar, 44, and his 39-year-old brother Bassam were convicted of all 10 charges. The abusers, who are already in prison for similar offences, will be sentenced in January. During the trial at Oxford Crown Court, the victim said she was raped by Dogar and Mohammed Karrar in 2004 at the age of 15 and fell pregnant. She later had an abortion. The three men were part of a violent sex grooming ring convicted in 2013 of abusing six girls from Oxford over an eight-year period after a police operation codenamed Bullfinch. After the unanimous verdicts for charges including indecent assault, conspiracy to rape and rape were read out, Mohammed Karrar clapped the jury. Prosecutor Oliver Saxby QC said the victim was "a lonely, vulnerable young girl" who was given "somewhere to hang out". The victim, who was 14 when she first met her abusers, said: "

Police have deployed water cannon during a rally against the controversial UN migration pact in Brussels. Officers were seen scuffling with protesters, who threw firecrackers before facing off with law-enforcement. The rally was dubbed the ‘March against Marrakech’ in reference to the city where the pact was signed earlier in December. It was organized by the right-wing Vlaams Belang party which has long been a vocal opponent of the agreement. While having initially kicked off peacefully, the demonstration started to heat up with some of the participants burning firecrackers and hurling bottles as they marched down the street. German police had to call in reinforcement, deploying scores of officers to quell mayhem in a reception center in country’s south, where a group of migrants faced off with security personnel. A row between migrants in one of the reception centers escalated into open violence early Tuesday as people living in the shelter attacked local security staff that tried to intervene, police announced. A group of rioters then barricaded themselves in the building, forcing the security workers to call the police. However, several local police squads that initially arrived at the scene located in the Bavarian town of Bamberg also failed to handle the situation. The officers were pelted with paving stones and had to call for backup. As “numerous police detachments” from neighboring departments came to rescue, the police force at the scene amassed to some 100 officers. Gardai in Blanchardstown are struggling to deal with an upsurge of crime and violence and anti social behaviour by gangs of youths in the new communities areas of Tyrrelstown North Dublin. 

The anti social behaviour including a number of assaults , one of an elderly man has left residents in fear of going out in the evening.

A number of residents have taken to social media with harrowing stories .

A GUINEAN national was sentenced to one months’ imprisonment for his role in a bizarre incident during which a garda car was damaged. Ousmane Baah, aged 29, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to a criminal damage charge relating to an incident which happened at O’Connell Street on December 31, 2017.
